As the Republican Party grapples with Senate candidate Roy Moore’s appalling underage sex scandal, another prominent member of the GOP – one of the so-called “respectable” conservatives – has just been accused of molesting a minor.

Roslyn Corrigan was sixteen years old when she posed for a photo with her family and former President George H.W. Bush at the Central Intelligence Agency’s offices in Texas in 2003, when Bush was 79 years old.

During the photo, the president groped her behind.

“As soon as the picture was being snapped on the one-two-three he dropped his hands from my waist down to my buttocks and gave it a nice, ripe squeeze, which would account for the fact that in the photograph my mouth is hanging wide open,” recounts Corrigan.

“What does a teenager say to the ex-president of the United States? Like, ‘Hey dude, you shouldn’t have touched me like that?’”

Corrigan is the sixth woman to accuse President H.W. Bush of inappropriately touching her. The President admitted to groping actress Heather Lind’s backside during a photo-op a few years ago, and four more women have come forward accusing the elderly man of groping or otherwise fondling them without their consent, often during photo-ops.

As thousands of women come forward to tell their tales of sexual harassment and sexual assault, this story highlights how rampant and widespread the incidence of sexual misconduct in the United States truly is – and how even the oldest of men are still apparently capable of being predators./
