Before running for the Senate, theocrat Roy Moore of Alabama, was removed from his seat as Chief Justice of his state’s Supreme Court for his unconstitutional administrative order against issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples. Now, he has the nerve to call for the House of Representatives to “impeach” federal judge Colleen Kollar-Kelly, who ruled against Trump’s military transgender ban today, for “unlawful usurpation of power” and interfering “with the powers of the President as Commander in Chief of the armed forces.”
Though Trump backed Moore’s opponent in Alabama’s Republican primary, the ascent of the ignorant bigot from Alabama certainly found its precedent in the rise of the current president.
Like Trump, who has attacked Muslims and and attempted to ban transgendered members of the military, Moore has called from the removalof Deputy Chairman of the Democratic Party, Keith Ellison, from office for being Muslim, and has called “transgenderism” a “mental disorder.”
Judge Kollar-Kelly called Trump’s executive order unconstitutional and wrote a 76-page ruling, in which she said:
There is absolutely no support for the claim that the ongoing service of transgender people would have any negative effective on the military at all . . . In fact, there is considerable evidence that it is the discharge and banning of such individuals that would have such effects.
Moore, who is the favorite to win the Alabama senate seat, and Trump are both immune to facts and evidence.
As Trump said to all racists, bigots, homophobes, misogynists, climate deniers, xenophobes, and Islamophobes during the Republican National Convention last year, “I am your voice.”
His voice has emboldened hatred around the country.
The United States has over time increased, not reduced, the rights we afford our citizens.
As a nation, we must let all cowardly ignoramuses know with our voices and our votes that they are not on their way in, but on their way out.
Let’s move forward. We’ve come too far to turn back now./verifiedpolitics.com/
