This morning, Trump faced swift backlash from both sides of the aisle after a vicious and personal attack of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” co-host, Mika Brzezinski.

Never one to let facts get in the way of his misguided assaults on American citizens, CNN reporter Brian Stelter posted a photo of Ms. Brzezinski on the morning that she was supposedly “bleeding badly.”

Stelter took his reporting a step further, confirming that his source was someone “close to ‘morning joe,’” although he did not mention who specifically.

While a few of Trump’s most shamelessly loyal surrogates defended the President, nearly everyone else condemned his disgusting comment, including Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI), Senator Susan Collins (R-ME), and Senator Lindsay Graham (R-SC).

An MSNBC representative also responded to Trump’s tweet, saying, “It’s a sad day for America when the president spends his time bullying, lying, and spewing petty personal attacks instead of doing his job.”

Trump disgraceful comments are not only below the dignity of the office of the presidency, but have effectively eradicated what dwindling political capital he had left. Perhaps when the First Lady finally begins her anti-cyber bullying campaign, she could do this country a favor and start with her husband./ BRIAN TYLER COHEN
